We almost threw out our custom white board cabinet. This peel and stick came and fit perfectly and now our team members are no longer writing on and marked up board.
My custom cut whiteboard arrived quickly and was very easy to hang. I am very happy with my purchase.

Gary from Colorado asked:

Q
Surprisingly my company won't allow me to put up your Peel-n-Stick Magnetic Dry Erase Skins unless they know what the adhesive is. Can you pass that to me? do you have a  Material Safety Data Sheet for it? Thank you
Answer
Hello Gary,

That is not an unreasonable request, in fact, we get this request somewhat regularly.  If you contact our sales team they can provide safety data sheets when required.

This product used a 3M adhesive which contains an acrylic adhesive polymer & a polyester carrier along with a disposable paper or polyester liner.

If you contact 1-866-366-1500 we have a datasheet ready and waiting for you!

Ole Kilgore from WA asked:

Q
Can I cut or trim these to size?
Answer
Hello Ole,

We can have these cut for you at the factory which is typically our recommendation. Some of our customers have cut these themselves. Depending on the cutting method, the edges of the porcelain can chip.

Hello Jeff,

Sorry to say that the manufacturer just discontinued the chalkboard panels for 2020. Looks like we have an update to make to our website.

Angela from Middletown, CT asked:

Q

We will be installing this product over a blackboard and 19" behind a lab safety shower, which gets tested twice a year.

Can the adhesive backing handle a little water splashing when the safety shower gets tested?

In other words, can the adhesive withstand some moisture or would it lose its tack and fail?

Thank you.

Answer
Once the panel sets up, meaning that the adhesive has had some time to fully adhere, you shouldn't have any issues. To be sure however, I would suggest possibly adding some water resistant caulking around the perimeter of the panel.

Karen from Illinois asked:

Q
Can this be installed over a bulletin board?

Answer
Hi Karen, we do have customers that install these over bulletin boards, the adhesive backing is very strong.  But it depends on the condition of the bulletin board.  For instance, with a used cork surface, it might not want to adhere.  Holes or unevenness in the cork texture also allow air exposure that could dry out the adhesive.  These are commonly installed on bulletin boards, but because of this, we are not able to guarantee installation.

Jason from California asked:

Q
I am in need of something like this to apply over paneling with a few cutouts/ cut arounds- what is the best method to field cut this material? Plasma cutter?
Answer
Hi Jason, we usually recommend a diamond tip or carbide blade, and of course, we recommend it is cut by a professional.  I haven't heard of anyone cutting it with a plasma cutter, but I am checking with our production manager.  If you want to know this information, I will gladly follow up with you.

Roxanne Shepherd from Langley, WA, on Whidbey Island asked:

Q
Will it stick to a cord board?

Do you have nonprofit pricing?

Answer
Hi Roxanne,

Thank you for your question! The skin will stick to a corkboard but probably fall off over time. Cork is porous so it will absorb the adhesive and dry out. Retrofit boards are better for resurfacing cork,

We don't have different prices for non-profits.

Mark Mueller from Appleton, WI asked:

Q
Am I able to cut the skins down to modify the shape?
Answer

Hello,

We generally don't recommend cutting these down at home due to potential user error. You would need a diamond carbide blade to cut through the porcelain. If you have any other questions, please feel free to call us at 866-366-1500.

Have a great day!
