29 Questions &  29Answers

Ed Butka from Rochester, NY asked:

Q
Can screws be driven through this product to mount it directly to a wall without framing?

Answer
Hello Ed,

We are sure that this could be done but the edges of these panels are unfinished and the writing surface would have screws through it. It certainly would not be a very elegant way to display such a quality dry erase surface. We do have other options depending on your needs we might be able to offer you a more fitting solution. If you would contact us at 1-866-366-1500 we would be happy to discuss what you're looking for and thy to match you with the best board for your needs.

Q
Can this panel be cut by the end user to fit?  We have a frame and would like to use this to replace an old white board.
Answer
Hi Wendy, thanks for your interest.  These can be cut down, and for a small fee we will actually do it for you (it requires a special blade).  If you need a custom size, please call us to discuss: 866-366-1500.  We can either cut it down, or we can explain the types of blades used to properly cut the panel.

Connie Luu from Carbondale, Colorado asked:

Q
Can the board withstand drilling a hole in the four corners to hang? Trying to go frameless.
Answer
Hi Connie, We do not recommend drilling a hole through these whiteboards. Drilling through the surface would chip the porcelain. Additionally, these boards intended to be framed after purchasing, they are not made to be installed without a frame.

Erin from San Rafael, CA asked:

Q
Does this product consist of porcelain applied to steel, which is then applied to a MDF panel?
Answer
Hi Erin,

The porcelain and steel are one sheet. Porcelain is baked or heat fused to the steel sheet to form one layer. Then we apply the porcelain steel to a 1/4-inch MDF substrate.
